OUR INSPIRATION

Our inspiration (Bonnie), was a mother and grandmother who raised (7) seven children in a small home on the North Eastside of Oklahoma City. Her love for God, her pastor and the church radiated wherever she went. She was the biggest encourager and motivator, even when she was giving out correction. She was a willing worker, who put herself second to help others in need. She was always there with open arms, and a word from the Lord. It was this legacy that birthed the ministry and vision of Bonnie's Helping Hands.

WHAT WE DO

Founded in 2017, Bonnie's Helping Hands has been working hard with the help of our volunteers to give back to individuals in our area. Our work is dedicated to feeding those who may need assistance and delivering bags of food to seniors 60 plus who are handicapped, disabled, or homebound. We strive to inspire and improve the lives of those who are overlooked, devalued and just need a helping hand to get back on their feet.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of our organization is to deliver healthy choice groceries to homebound disabled senior citizens. Provide walk-in clients with access to our Client Choice Shopping and clothes closet. Respect, love, kindness, and a Christ-like atmosphere to all clients, regardless of their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Bonnie’s Helping Hands does not and shall not discriminate because of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.

VISION STATEMENT

Our Vision is to ‘Continue a legacy of giving back to the community’ as demonstrated by our Inspiration (Bonnie) and according to Matthew 5:16 ...” Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

To deliver healthy choice groceries to homebound disabled senior citizens through our Senior Mobile Delivery Ministry. Providing supplemental food for seniors 60 and older allows them to devote more funds to other financial obligations.

We will continue to offer food and clothing to families and individuals in need through our Clothes Closet and Client Choice Shopping Programs. Our immediate goal is to collaborate with agencies that address our clients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing. This will enable us to refer them to these resources for holistic wellness care.

Proverbs 3:5-6...

‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding. in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.’
